680GC SERVICE MANUAL

15. IGNITION COIL

15.5

Install ignition coil.

A. Place ignition coil shim (0.012")
B. Set ignition coil in place.
C. Install ignition coil screws, wave washers,
and plain washers with Loctite

242.

D. Holding shim, rotate flywheel magnet
around to coil.
E. Torque ignition coil screws to 26 in-lbs.(3
Nm).
F. Remove shim, rotate flywheel to check
clearance.

Install flywheel shroud.

15.7

Route ignition stop switch wire through
crankcase into carburetor chamber.

15.8

Complete ignition wire routing.
