UPDATING THE FIRMWARE

Preparation

Access the following URL and download the firmware file.

https://www.icomjapan.com/support/

These instructions are based on Microsoft

Windows

Click the “Firmware/Software” link.

Enter “IC-905” into the Search box, and then click

[Search].

Click the desired firmware file link.

Carefully read “Regarding this Download Service.”

Click “Agree,” and then click [Download].

Click

Click “Save as” in the displayed File Download

dialog�

Click

Select the location where you want to save the

firmware, and then click [Save] in the displayed

File Download dialog.

Click

The file starts downloading.

•

The firmware data is compressed in a “zip” format

folder. Unzip it before use.

Unzipping the firmware folder

Right-click the downloaded firmware folder (zip

format).

The right-click menu is displayed.

Click “Extract All...”

After unzipping, a folder is created in the same

location as the downloaded folder.

In the “905*” folder, “905*.dat” is created.
