Disassembly ID-0160
Removal and Replacement of Water Dump Solenoid
1. Turn off the power switch and the circuit breaker, unplug the power cord from the outlet, remove the left and top
panels, and close the valve on the water supply line.
2. Remove the clamps and hoses from the dump valve.
3. Remove 1 thumb screw to loosen the mounting plate & dump valve assembly as one piece.
4. Remove the dump valve assembly from the mounting plate by removing the 2 fixing screws.
5. Unscrew the 2 fixing screws on the valve body to remove coil and clean diaphragm if scaled.
6. Install the cleaned/new dump solenoid valve in its original position and assemble it to the mounting plate.
7. Install mounting plate & dump valve assembly back onto the machine, using the thumbscrew.
8. Connect hoses to dump valve assembly and fix with clamp.
9. Open the valve on the water supply line.
10. Reassemble the panels in their correct positions, connect the power cord to the outlet, turn on circuit breaker, and
turn on the main power switch.
11. Switch the ICE-OFF- WASH switch to the ‘ice’ position to ensure that the water drains well and check for leaks.
