External port
Activity (TX/RX) This LED operates as follows:
• The LED is off when the corresponding external port is not
logged in or when the port is logged in and there is no exter-
nal port activity.
• The LED is lit during the LED test.
• The LED flashes when external port activity performs a nor-
mal send or receive operation.
External port fault (!) This LED operates as follows:
• The LED is off when external port diagnostics starts and is
completed without error.
• The LED is lit when external port diagnostics discover an
external port error.
Ethernet port activity This LED operates as follows:
• The LED is off when no data is being transmitted or received
across the Ethernet connection.
• The LED is lit when data is being transmitted or received
across the Ethernet connection.
Ethernet port link sta-
tus This LED operates as follows:
• The LED is off when there is no Ethernet connection.
• The LED is lit when an Ethernet connection is established.
