Storage
Archive
Manager
database
and
logs
For
the
DR550
Single
and
Dual
Node
configurations,
a
logical
volume
for
the
SSAM
database
and
a
logical
volume
for
the
SSAM
log
will
be
preconfigured.
The
System
Storage
Archive
Manager
database
and
log
volumes
are
configured
using
DR550
Storage
Controller
RAID
configuration
storage.
Both
the
SSAM
data
base
and
log
file
are
mirrored
to
other
logical
volumes
using
SSAM
mirroring.
A
logical
volume
large
enough
to
hold
two
copies
of
the
SSAM
database
has
been
created
and
is
used
by
the
backup
routines.
The
size
of
the
preconfigured
database
and
log
volumes
is
determined
based
on
the
total
size
of
storage
ordered
according
to
the
tables
below.
There
is
additional
space
available
(10
GB)
for
emergency
expansion
of
the
data
base
files
if
needed.
This
space
is
in
the
same
volume
group
as
the
existing
data
base
and
log
files.
10
GB
is
reserved
for
the
primary
database,
10
GB
reserved
for
the
secondary
copy,
and
20
GB
is
reserved
for
the
backup
space.
If
the
customer
expands
the
primary
data
base,
the
secondary
copy
and
the
backup
space
should
be
expanded
as
well.
