If you have installed the third party input method
application, before you apply this input method, you
should firstly enable it under menu Settings -> Language
& input.
3.6 Status bar
The Status bar appears at the top of every screen. It
displays icons indicating that you’ve received notifications
(on the left), icons indicating the phone’s status (on the
right), and programs run in background, along with the
current time.
