The battery is maintenance free and as such requires no special treatment other than
keeping it clean.

If the machine has not been used in a while, the battery may need charging.

The battery can be charged by starting the machine manually.
Once running, it will charge the battery.

You can also remove the battery and charge it with a mains battery charger.

When disconnecting the battery, you
MUST
observe the correct polarity.
Red wire to the Positive (+) terminal.
Black wire to the Negative (-) terminal.
DO NOT
start the machine without the battery installed.

To access the battery, remove the battery cover retaining bolt and keep in a safe place.
Remove the cover and lift the battery out and place it on the floor.

Undo the
BLACK
wire to the (-) terminal
FIRST
, the undo the
RED
wire to the positive
(+) terminal and cover it with insulating tape.

Place the battery on charge ensuring you connect the correct charge cable to the
correct battery terminal.

Once charge reconnect the battery.
Connect the
RED
positive (+) cable first and then the
BLACK
negative (-).
