8.3.1
Stop the engine and allow to cool then screw in both
H
and
L
needles until the stop,
DO NOT
apply excess pressure when doing this.
8.3.2
Then turn them back the initial number of turns shown below;

Start the engine and allow it to warm up at half throttle.
8.3.4
Turn the
L
needle slowly in a clockwise direction to find a position where idling speed
is maximum, then turn it back ¼ of a turn in an anti-clockwise direction.
8.3.5
Turn the
T
idle adjusting screw anti-clockwise so that the saw chain does not turn. If
idling too slowly then turn the screw clockwise.
8.3.6
Make a test cut and adjust the
H
needle for best cutting power, not for maximum
speed.
8.4
Saw Chain Brake.
8.4.1
This machine is equipped with an automatic chain brake to stop saw chain rotation in
the event of kickback whilst the chainsaw is in operation.
The brake is automatically operated by inertial force which acts on a weight inside
the front guard.
This brake can also be operated manually with the front guard pushed forward
towards the saw chain.
