Depending on the frequency of use, clean the coffee grinder regularly (we recommend
at least once a month). Remove coffee bean container

Water tank (D)
We recommend that you clean the tank thoroughly and regularly (about once a week).
Use regular washing-up liquid and then rinse the tank with clean water. So as to prevent
build-up of scale deposits, we recommend that you also rinse the tank under running water
once a day.
Aluminium lever (C)
Remove coffee grounds from the stainless steel bowls (
C1
,
C2
) after each use. Rinse
the funnel thoroughly under running water. Wash the filters (
C1
,
C2
) in warm water with
detergent and then rinse with clean water. Wipe the plastic handle with a damp cloth. Then
let everything dry.
Drip tray (E)
Pour the drip tray as required. Wash parts
E
and
E1
with a conventional dishwashing
detergent, rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
Steam nozzle and hot water outlet (A3)
The nozzle must be cleaned after each use. You can do so by activating it and immersing
it in a container of clean water and then wiping it with a dry tissue. Also, periodically clean
it by removing it by removing its

orifice. Where necessary, use a suitable tool (e.g. needle)
to clean the orifice. Scale deposits in the outlet must be removed (refer to section
Descaling
).
Hot water outlet (A6)
Scale deposit in the outlet must be removed (refer to section
Descaling
).

If the drain is contaminated with limescale, it must be removed (see Removing limescale).
For more thorough cleaning you can remove the

orifice.
Descaling
We recommend that you remove scale at least once a month. Scale may be removed by
means of a solution of water with preparation destined for these purposes (for example,
ETA518000201
). Always follow the manufacturer‘s instructions for the product, which are
usually on the packaging. The procedure is as follows:
1.
Place approx. 1 litre of prepared cleaning solution in tank

and water - according to the manufacturer’s instruction).
2.

Place a proper container under the coffee spout, steam nozzle and hot-water spout.
4.
After heating up of the coffee machine by pressing

, make several operation
cycles with the cleaning solution (at least 5-10 cycles are recommended).

Then rinse both hot water outlets (

and
A6
) with the cleaning solution, using both hot
water methods (refer to section
HOT WATER FUNCTION
).
