sensor judges the distance to
objects in front of the vehicle.
When the Smart Cruise Control
is engaged, the driver can
select a desired speed and
distance to maintain.
SAFETY
: Automatically
maintains a pre-set distance
behind the vehicle ahead, even
if it comes to a complete stop.
Operates like a traditional
cruise control system unless
there is traffic ahead. When
there is traffic, Smart Cruise
Control engages the brakes
automatically and slows down
the Sonata, even coming to a
complete stop, if necessary.
If the stopped vehicle in front
starts moving again within
three seconds, the Sonata will
restart automatically. After
three seconds, the driver can
tap on the accelerator pedal
or press the Resume button on
the steering wheel when it’s
safe to move forward.
