CAUTION - A dirty air filter will restrict the
air flow to the carburettor, which will reduce
engine efficiency.
When using the earth auger in very dusty
areas you must clean or replace the air filter
more often. Never operate the machine without
the air filter being fitted it can cause damage to
the engine which is not covered by warranty.

STEP 1
Loosen the screw on the air filter casing.
Remove the air filter cover and check it.
STEP 2
Carefully remove the foam filter insert and
check it for damage. Replace if required.
Clean the foam insert in warm water with a
mild soap solution. Thoroughly rinse it with
clear water and leave it to dry.
STEP 3
Clean dirt from the inside of the filter casing
with a clean, damp cloth.
Return the foam filter insert and reposition the
air filter casing.
Do not run the engine without an air filter
insert or when it is damaged. This can cause
damage which is not covered by your
warranty.
STEP 3
• Use a high temperature gearbox grease.
Such as Morris K323 Premium blue grease or
equivalent.
• Check the gear box grease every 20 hours of
use and fill as required. Thereafter check and
top-up after every 25 hours. N.B. 20 grams is
sufficient for a full top-up.
• To fill with or top-up with grease apply
grease with a grease gun to the grease nipple.
• Recommended change interval. 1st check
after 20 hours of use. Thereafter every 25
hours of use.
If you do not follow these steps, deposit
may arise in the carburettor. This will cause
starting difficulties and may cause
permanent damage. !
