VOX Feature 

Plug an earphone into the radio. In the menu mode, turn the VOX feature on to enable 

VOX feature. The VOX feature enables you to transmit automatically by speaking into 

the microphone. 

1.  Transmission starts automatically when you start speaking and stops automatically 

when you stop speaking. 

2.  Press the PTT button to disable the VOX feature. 

The VOX feature will be reactivated after switching the power off and then back on. 

Low Battery Alert 

When the battery voltage becomes low, the red LED will flash and a beep sound is 

heard. At this time, the battery should be replaced or recharged. 

2-Tone/HDC1200 Selective Call 

The radio can call selected radios if selective call feature is enabled. Selective call 

signalling includes 2-Tone and HDC signalling.

2-Tone  

Press the Selcall key or go to the required 2-Tone signalling in Call List and press the 

PTT key to transmit.   

The radio enters call waiting mode when transmission ends or at receiving a valid 

selective signalling. The LED flashes orange in call waiting mode. The radio will exit 

from the call waiting mode when the call waiting reset time elapses, the MONI key is 

pressed, or when the channel selector knob is rotated.
