PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

Place the motorcycle on jack or block for accurate
adjustment.
After adjusting the drive chain, tighten the axle nut
to the specified torque.

Recheck the drive chain slack after tightening the
axle nut.

Rear axle nut : 90~140 N m (9.0~14.0 kg m)

Loosen or tighten both chain adjusters 

,

until the

chain has 20

30 mm of slack in the middle between

the engine and rear sprockets. The marks 

,

on

both chain adjusters must be at the same position on
the scale to ensure that the front and rear wheels are
correctly aligned.

Drive chain slack

Wash the drive chain with kerosine. If the drive chain 

tends to rust quickly, the intervals must be shortened.

After washing and drying the chain, oil it with a
engine oil or chain lubricating oil.

CAUTION

The standard drive chain is a 428SO Hyo-

sung recommends that this standard drive chain
should be used for the replacement.

Tighten both chain adjusters
