BRAKE SHOE

Check the brake shoes and decide whether it should be
replaced or not from the thickness of the brake shoe lin-
ings.

REASSEMBLY

Reassemble and remount the rear wheel and rear brake
in the reverse order of disassembly and removal, and
also carry out the following steps :

WHEEL BEARING

Apply grease to the bearings before installling

Super grease A

Install the wheel bearings by using the special tool.

SPROCKET

After tightening the four nuts to specification, bend
the washers to lock nuts.

Rear sprocket nut : 20~30 N m (2.0~3.0 kg m)

Service limit

1.5 mm (0.06 in)

Thickness of brake

shoe

BRAKE CAM

Apply grease to the brake cam.

Super grease A

Bearing installer set : 09924-84510

CAUTION

Replace the brake shoes as a set, otherwise brak-
ing performance will be adversely affected.

CAUTION

First install the wheel bearing for right side.

CAUTION

Be careful not to apply too much grease to the
brake cam shaft. If grease gets on the lining,
brake slippage will result.
