Installation Information: 2-2

Use only securing devices specifically manufactured to attach or secure unit to a vehicle.

A properly secured load must be able to withstand a minimum amount of force in each

of the following directions.

• Forwards Force = 80% of the cargo weight when braking while driving straight

ahead.

• Rearward Force = 50% of the cargo weight when accelerating, shifting gears while

climbing a hill or braking in reverse.

• Sideways Force = 50% of the cargo weight when turning, changing lanes or braking

while turning.

• Upward Force of 20% of the cargo weight while traveling over bumps in the road or

cresting a hill.

•

This requirement is satisfied when the cargo is fully contained.

The weight of the unit is as follows:

• Unit alone = 1009 lbs.

• Unit with a full recovery tank = 1529 lbs.

All elements of the vehicle structure and anchor points must be strong enough to with-

stand the forces described above.

Do not lift this unit from the protective framework. This unit is designed to be lifted us-

ing the forklift only. Failure to do so may result in injury or death and / or damage to the

equipment.
