3. Function
Securing against overpressure
NOTICE
For gas-side protection of the hydraulic
accumulator, HYDAC supplies corresponding
safety devices. Please contact us for more
information.
The pressure relief valve DB12 must be used
as intended. The operating instructions must
be observed (see section 1.).
The pressure relief valve DB12 (1) protects
the hydraulic accumulator from excess
overpressure on the fluid side. The response
overpressure of the pressure relief valve is
based on the connected hydraulic accumulator.
If the maximum permitted operating pressure is
exceeded, the pressure relief valve opens.
Blocking the hydraulic accumulator
The shut-off valve (3) is a 2/2-way ball valve.
It disconnects or connects the hydraulic
accumulator and the pump connection (P).
On the head of the ball valve, there is a notch.
It indicates the switching position of the ball
valve. The ball valve closes in a clockwise
direction (notch at right angles to direction of
flow = valve closed).
Draining the hydraulic accumulator
Design M (
manual drain
)
Actuating the pressure release spindle (4)
enables the hydraulic accumulator to be
depressurised to the tank connection (T)
manually. The pressure release spindle (4)
closes in a clockwise direction.
Design E (
manual/solenoid drain
)
The solenoid-operated release valve (6) is a
2/2-way poppet valve.
Actuation enables the hydraulic accumulator
to be depressurised to the tank connection (T)
by solenoid. Depending on the poppet valve
design, the valve opens or closes when the coil
is energised.
Y = open when de-energised
Z = closed when de-energised
(see the name plate of the SAF)
4. Transport and storage
Transport
The SAF can be transported without special
precautions. Damage is to be avoided.
DANGER
Do not put into operation any damaged SAF.
Storage
The SAF can be stored in any position. To
prevent dirt from entering the SAF, it must be
ensured that the connection bores are sealed
off. The SAF must be kept in a cool, dry place,
protected from direct sunlight. The equipment
can be stored in its packaging.
