7.2 Changing the filter element

In this chapter, you will find the procedure for changing the fil-
ter element.

1x Allen wrench

= 5 mm

Suitable receiver bin for collecting the oil from the filter hous-
ing.

The main switch of the filter unit is switched off and the
shut-off devices at the inlet section (IN) and outlet (OUT)
are closed.

The filter unit is secured during maintenance from being
switched on accidentally.

BLEED

DRAIN

Perform a depressurization of the filter housing. Remove
the bleed screw (BLEED) in the filter cover.

Place a suitable container under the connection
Empty the filter housing. Drain the residual oil volume
from the filter housing via the drain ball valve (DRAIN) in
a suitable container. Dispose / Recycle the oil in an envi-
ronmentally safe manner.

Loosen the four star gripped screws on the filter cover
anticlockwise.

Fold the star gripped screws down and press them fur-
ther against the filter housing. This pushes the filter
cover of the filter housing upwards.
