Flush the pump with tap water via the level switch opening
and filling opening (remove the bung plug). While doing
this, keep the ball valve of the drain line open.
Close the ball valve and fill the vacuum pump until water
exits from the filling opening.
Screw in the bung plug, mount the level switch back in
place.
When switching the FAM back on check the vacuum pump
for leakage.
Replace the cover paneling.

Back-flushing the Water-Filter Assembly (23)
You need:
•
Collection receptacle (25 liters)
Steps:
An inlet pressure of a minimum of 1.5 bar is needed for back-
flushing.
Place the collection receptacle (25 liters) underneath.
Open the ball valve by turning the back-flush knob until it
will go no further.

The I mark has to be in a vertical position.
•
Start up the back-flushing system.
•
Filtered water can also be removed during back-
flushing.
Close the ball valve again after ca. 15 s.
•
A longer back-flushing duration may be required when
the filter is heavily clogged.
•
The next date for manual back-flushing can be marked
using the memory ring.
