Adding cards to create virtual mailboxes

If you need to create additional

virtual mailboxes but do not have unused ports in the system you may install virtual cards
into slots.



Select Technical Program



Select Card Installation



Find an unused slot and select virtual card from the pull down menu. After doing

this the additional port will become available in program 21 as described above.
Each card allows 8 additional virtual mailboxes. It is Ok to install a virtual slot in
cabinet 2 even if it is not installed.

Guest Services Virtual Mailbox Example

- You may provide dialing instructions to

guests for certain services such as room service, front desk or any other service as
desired. The dialed instruction can be a pilot hunt group number with service telephones
and virtual mailboxes as back up when phones are busy or cannot be answered right
away. It is recommended you use the ringing type as Hunt and set the timer to advance
to the virtual mailbox as desired.

Example-

Front desk dialing instruction in guest room is 65. Front desk is station

100 and the virtual mailbox is 112.



Select System, Program 67-69 Hunt Group Assignment



Find an unused group number and enter 65 as the pilot



Enter 100 and 112 as the members for day and night



Enter the type as 3 Hunt and set the timer to 8 seconds



Program 112 as a DSS key on station 100



Enter mailbox 112 by pressing the DSS key and record front desk

message.



The front desk station 100 will ring for 8 seconds then the call will go to

the front desk mailbox. The key for 112 will flash indicating a message
has been left there. Press it and hear the guest message.
