6.5 Kill switch (TE 250i US)

The kill switch

is fitted on the left side of the handlebar.
Possible states
• Kill switch in basic position
–
In this position, the ignition
circuit is closed and the engine can be started.
• Kill switch is pressed
–
In this position, the ignition circuit
is interrupted, a running engine stops, and a non-running
engine will not start.

Possible states
• Horn button in neutral position
• Horn button pressed

The horn is operated in this posi-
tion.
6.7 Light switch (All EU models)

Light switch

is fitted on the left side of the handlebar.
Possible states
Low beam on
–
Light switch is in the central posi-
tion. In this position, the low beam and tail light are
switched on.
High beam on
–
Light switch is turned to the left.
In this position, the high beam and tail light are
switched on.

instrument.
Possible states
• Light off
–
Light switch is pressed in up to the stop. In this
position, the light is switched off.
• Light on
–
Light switch is pulled out to the stop. In this posi-
tion, the low beam and tail light are switched on.
