TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING

When a saw head is connected with the orange main cable to the PP the name of the product is shown in the remote control display� The product
identity is stored digitally in the black z-shaped Motor Interface Board in the saw head and is communicated to the PP as soon as it is connected� All
the Motor Interface Board needs to communicate is 12VDC power and CAN-bus connection to the PP�
Note: If possible try to replace PP, saw head and orange main cable one at the time to determine which part to trouble shoot. The layout of
the guide below is as if there were no extra PP, saw head or orange cable.
Check before continuing this troubleshooting�

Remove the Motor Interface board from the saw head� Connect the red wire
from the MIB directly to the PP Harting outlet socket T4, black to T5, blue
A4 and white to A5� When everything is turned on, does the remote control
display show the saw head model (WS440 or WS482)?
Does it work with another Motor Interface Board?
The MIB works� Check all connections
again�
Action:
Replace the Motor Interface Board in
the saw head�
Note don't forget to calibrate hall
sensors after replacing motor
interface board.
If the Motor interface Board seems to work then it is most likely a fault in the
orange cable� Next step would be to check the internal wiring in PP from Harting
connector to Main Board connector� Could any faults be found on internal wiring?
