Introduction
WARNING: Read and understand the safety
chapter before you use the product.
To do before you operate the product
• Read the operator's manual carefully and make sure
that you understand the instructions.
• Read the engine manual that is supplied by the
engine manufacturer.
• Do the daily maintenance. Refer to
schedule on page 13
.
To set the handle to operation position
WARNING: Hold the handle tightly when you
change the position of the handle. There is a
risk of injury if the handle falls on you.
1. Hold the handle.
2. Release the lock lever and lower the handle
carefully.
To start and stop the product
WARNING: Keep your feet away from the
product during the start procedure. The
hydraulic system can cause the product to
move suddenly when the engine starts.
To start the product manually
Do this procedure if the product has an engine with
manual start.
1. Pull the lever for the decompression valve to the
start position (A).

2. Set the throttle control to idle speed.
a) For products with a throttle control that is not
EPA:
b) For products with EPA throttle control: Pull the
position stop (A) up, and move the throttle control
to idle speed (B). Make sure that the throttle
control locks in the position.
