Check the wheel bearing for damage and wear.
» If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn:

Change the rear wheel bearing.
–
Clean and grease shaft seal rings

Clean the thread of the wheel spindle and axle nut.
–
Clean and grease the wheel spindle.
Long-life grease (

Clean the contact areas on the brake caliper bracket and link
fork.
–
Mount the damping rubber pieces and rear sprocket carrier
on the rear wheel.
–
Insert the narrow spacer into the side of the rear sprocket.
–
Insert the wide spacer into the side of the brake disc.
–
Position the rear wheel.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.
–
Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible and lay the
chain on the rear sprocket.

Pull the rear wheel back and mount wheel spindle

the washer and chain adjuster

Guideline
Mount left and right chain adjusters

in the same posi-
tion.
–
Mount nut

with the washer.
–
Make sure that the chain adjusters are fitted correctly on the
screws.

Check the chain tension. (

Tighten nut

Guideline
In order for the rear wheel to be correctly aligned, the
markings on the left and right chain adjusters must be in
the same position relative to reference markings
