RODAGGIO
Al fi ne di ottenere, tra le parti in movimento
del motore, un corretto assestamento che consenta
una ottimale utilizzazione del motociclo, è necessario
eseguire un periodo di rodaggio di alcune ore secondo
le modalità sottoriportate.
1. Avviare il motore e, DA FERMO, lasciarlo girare al
minimo aprendo e chiudendo il gas periodicamente
sino a quando si sarà completamente riscaldato. Entro
3-4 minuti, la temperatura del refrigerante avrà
raggiunto ~ 60° C/140° F.
2. Spegnere il motore e lasciarlo raffreddare
naturalmente sino a temperatura ambiente; questo
consentirà il corretto assestamento del pistone nel
cilindro.
3. Ripetere i cicli 1 e 2 sempre DA FERMO.
4. Portare il motore alla normale temperatura
d’esercizio. Guidare il motociclo a velocità moderata
per circa 10 minuti. Ripetere la procedura di
raffreddamento precedentemente descritta. EVITARE
BRUSCHE ACCELERAZIONI.
5. Portare il motore a temperatura d’esercizio.
Guidare il motociclo per circa 15 minuti passando
gradualmente a velocità più elevate. Evitare sempre
brusche accelerazioni.
6. Ripetere il ciclo di raffreddamento.
7. Anche dopo aver completato il rodaggio, evitare
l’apertura completa del gas sino a quando il motore
non avrà raggiunto la temperatura d’esercizio.
La corretta osservanza di questa procedura di
rodaggio, incrementerà sensibilmente la durata e le
prestazioni del motore.
RUNNING IN
To obtain the best settling of the engine moving
elements, for driving your motorcycle to the best of
your capability, run in the engine for several hours,
following these procedures:
1. FROM STOP POSITION. Start the engine and run
at idle, but open the throttle periodically and briefl y
until the engine is thoroughly warmed up. Within 3-4
minutes the coolant temperature will have reached
approximately 60° C/140° F. (Do not ride
the motorcycle).
2. Stop the engine, and let it cool down naturally
until its temperature is equal to the ambient air
temperature. This will allow the piston to align itself to
any imperfections which might exist at the
cylinder wall.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2. (Do not ride the
motorcycle).
4. Bring the engine up to normal running temperature.
Ride the motorcycle approximately 10 minutes at
moderate speeds. Then repeat cool down procedure.
AVOID HARD ACCELERATIONS.
5. Bring engine up to normal temperature.
Ride motorcycle approximately 15 minutes at
moderate to high speeds. Again avoid hard
accelerations.
6.Repeat cool down procedure.
7. Full throttle operation must be avoided until the
engine has reached operating temperature, even after
the break in process is completed. When the above
procedure is followed correctly, engine durability and
performance will be greatly enhanced.
RODAGE
Au but d’obtenir un tassement correct des éléments
rotatifs moteur pour une correcte utilisation du
motocicle, il faudra roder le moteur pour quelques
heures, selon les instructions données ci-dessous.
1. Démarrer le moteur, EN POSITION D’ARRET,
laissez-le tourner au minimum en ouvrant et fermant
les gaz périodiquement jusq’à ce qu’il soit chaud. En
3 ou 4 minutes, la température du liquide réfrigérant
aura atteint environ ~ 60° C/140° F.
2. Arrêter le moteur et le laisser refroidir naturellement
jusqu’à température ambiante. Ceci pour un
ajustement du piston dans le cylindre.
3. Répéter les cycles 1 et 2 toujours A
L’ARRET.
4. Porter le moteur à température normale de
fonctionnement. Conduire la motocyclette à une
vitesse modérée pendant environ 10 min. Répéter la
procédure de refroidissemen
d’ecrite précédemment.
EVITER LES ACCELERATIONS BRUSQUES.
5. Porter le moteur à température de fonctionnement.
Conduire la motocyclette pendant environ 15 mm en
passant progressivement à des vitesses plus élevées.
Eviter les accélérations brusques.
6. Répéter le cycle de refroidissement.
7. Même une fois le rodage effectué, éviter
l’ouverture complète des gaz tant que le
moteur n’a pas atteint sa température de
fonctionnement.
L’observation correcte de cette procédure de
rodage augmentera sensiblement la durée et la
prestation du moteur.
