General Maintenance including Gas Strut (continued).

Gas strut controls should be checked for a small amount of
clearance between the operating flap and the release pin,
throughout the range of movement. Should clearance be
inadequate, or the top sinks whilst in use, the following
adjustment should be made; firmly grasp the body of the strut
and rotate in an anti clockwise direction. Check for clearance
and repeat as necessary.
Should the gas strut fail to operate, refer to the above
adjustment but rotate in a clockwise direction.
