SOLUTION
• Check valve and valve
wiring (and valve
common).
• Check pump and
pump relay. Replace
if defective.
• Verify AC power and
wiring.
• Press any button
• Reprogram controller
• Reconnect the jumper
between the rain
sensor terminals of
the terminal block
• Verify operation of
rain sensor. Replace
if defective (reinstall
jumper until new rain
sensor is installed)
• Disconnect the jumper
(jumper should be
disconnected when
using a rain sensor)
• Verify operation of
sensor and proper
wiring
• To reset the
controller to default
program values,
insert screw driver
into the reset slot on
the faceplate (near
the terminal block)
• Press END/CANCEL
to remove error
message and check
for shorts in station
field wiring
CAUSE
• Faulty or mis-wired
valve
• Faulty pump or pump
relay if used
• No AC power and no
backup battery
installed (or dead
battery)
• Unit is initially
powered up
• Extended power
outage has occurred
and built-in backup
period has expired
• If you are not using a
rain sensor:
The jumper between
the sensor terminal is
missing or loose
• If you are using a rain
sensor:
the sensor has been
activated by moisture
or is stuck "open"
• Jumper between
sensor terminals is
still connected
• Rain sensor is
defective or mis-
wired
• This is due to the
built-in backup
• An error occurred the
last time station tried
to water
