Navigation Radio (if equipped)
Your vehicle’s Navigation Radio System
provides you with detailed maps of all
major highways and roads throughout
the United States. After you enter a
destination, the system provides
turn-by-turn instructions for reaching
your destination. In addition, the
system can help you locate banks,
airports, restaurants, post offices, ATMs
and more. It also features radio and
CD functions.
See your Navigation manual for
more information.
See your Navigation Owner Manual Supplement.
PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE
Manual Transmission Operating
Tips (if equipped)
Reverse Gear
When shifting into Reverse (R) with a
manual transmission, you must bring
your vehicle to a complete stop. If the
vehicle is still rolling when trying to
engage Reverse (R), the transmission
will be damaged.
The manual transmission has a lockout
feature that prevents shifting from 5th
gear to Reverse (R). If the shift lever is
moved toward the 5th gear position
before attempting to shift into
Reverse (R), the lockout mechanism
engages. Return to the Neutral position
to unlatch the lockout mechanism.
If you find it difficult to shift into
Reverse (R), return the shift lever to
Neutral (N) and release the clutch pedal;
then depress the clutch pedal again and
shift into Reverse (R).
Clutch Pedal
You must fully depress the clutch pedal
to start your vehicle. The clutch pedal
also should be fully depressed when
shifting gears.
Do not drive with your foot resting on
the clutch pedal. This may cause
premature wear.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
