Troubleshooting
Some general hardware and software problems you may encounter in
the installation and operation of Thuraya IP Voyager
along with the
possible source of these problems and how to correct them. System
Status codes and descriptions reported to you by the Thuraya IP
Voyager
on the wMMI screens, along with their possible causes and
solutions. If unable to correct a problem please contact the Thuraya IP
Voyager
dealer you purchased the unit from.
General Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Cause
Action
Thuraya IP
Voyager
will not
switch on.
DC input not
present.
Ensure that between 10 to 32VDC
is present at the terminal BDU
power connector. Note extended
DC cable runs may require a
higher source voltage or lower
resistance wire to ensure that the
operating voltage is maintained
under load.
The remote switch
line is not active.
The Thuraya IP Voyager will not
power up unless the remote switch
input has DC voltage applied.
The fuse is blown or
missing.
Check the blade fuse for
connectivity and replace if
necessary. Use only a 15 Amp, fast
blow, ATO blade fuse, Littelfuse,
part number 0287015.
Insufficient current.
Ensure that the DC supply has
sufficient current (12A) to supply
the Thuraya IP Voyager.
SIM card error.
SIM card or SIM
card contacts may
be damaged.
Visually inspect the SIM card and
SIM card contacts and return SIM
card to your Service Provider if it is
damaged.
SIM card may not
be present.
Verify that the SIM card is present.
SIM card may be
inserted incorrectly.
Remove the SIM card and make
sure that it is inserted according to
the instructions in the User Guide.
