INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY AND USE

Please read these instructions carefully. The instructions are an integral component of
the product. Therefore, please store them and the packaging carefully in case questions
arise in the future. Please always include these instructions when handing on the product
to a third party. This product must be assembled by an adult. This product is not designed
for industrial use. The use of the product requires certain capabilities and skills. Always
adjust according to the age of the user and use for the purpose it has been designed for.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS
The fascinating Soft Petanque „HUDORA Boulix“ is a new trend sport which was derived
from the recreational version of Petanque. Unlike the Petanque balls, the filling of the
balls consists of plastic granules. It thus does not matter if played in rooms, on courts or
forest trails. Each surface is playable and each time poses a new challenge for you. On
account of the practical resealable net bag, the HUDORA Boulix is ideal for travel and lets
you discover your new surroundings.
RULES OF THE GAME
1. Aim and end:
The aim of the game is to place your own balls as close as possible to
the target ball. The winner is the person who first scores 13 points with a 2 point lead over
the opponents.
2. How the game is played:
Boulix can be played with 2 or 3 people. Each player hereby
receives two balls of the same color. To begin the game, a draw is in advance made as to
who gets to throw the target ball. The on account of the draw, selected player throws the
target ball from a defined throwing line (which should ideally also be marked), and then
each player in turn throws his balls. An evaluation is then made and another player then
in turn gets to throw the target ball. As many rounds will have to be played until one player
fulfils the end condition.
3. Points:
The player, who has placed his ball closest to the target ball, gets a point.
Should it be the case that one of the opponent players has thrown his ball at the same
distance to the target ball, both get a point.
YOU CAN IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER,
GET HOLD OF MORE POINTS IN ONE STROKE
Boulix (Fig.1):
If the player places his ball (X), exactly on the target ball (TB) he receives
5 points.
Worm (Fig. 2):
If after the throw, the ball (X) leans against the target ball (TB) and the
player manages to place his second ball (X) directly next to the foregoing ball, he in this
case receives 3 points.
Sandwich (Fig.3):
When a player manages to place his balls (Y) to the left and right of the
target ball (TB), so that the target ball is located between the two balls, the player in this
case receives 4 points.
Double (Fig. 4):
When the second ball (W), likewise to the first, is closer to the target ball
as the ball of an opponent, the player gets one additional point. The figures in the
illustrations 1 – 3 may in this case not be quite applicable.
You can in this manner steal the points of your opponents ...
Killer (Fig. 5):
Should a player place his ball (Y) on the ball / the balls of an opponent
player, the opponent player in this case receives no points on account of the ball (Y).
ALTERNATIvES
The player, who has the first throw, may determine the throwing technique, i.e. if that
player e.g. throws the ball such that it passes between his legs or throws the ball from a
crouch position, then all the subsequent balls have to be thrown with the same throwing
technique. In addition, it should be noted that if the target ball in the course of being
thrown, touches upon an object such as a wall or a tree, then all the subsequent balls
thrown will likewise also have to touch upon this object.
RECOMMENDATION
Should doubts arise as to which ball is closest, or as to which figure is valid, the players
have to playfully come to a mutual agreement with the help of a decision throw. You in this
manner preserve the enjoyment derived from Boulix over a long period.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Use a dry or damp cloth only to clean the product; do not use special cleaning agents!
Check the product for damage or traces of wear and tear before and after each use. Do
not make any structural changes. For your own safety, please use original spare parts
only. These can be sourced from HUDORA. If parts become damaged or if sharp edges
or corners should develop, the product may not be used any more. If in any doubt, please
contact our service team (http://www.hudora.de/). Store the product in a safe place
where it is protected from the elements, cannot be damaged, and cannot injure anyone.
The balls can be cleaned by hand washing them.
DISPOSAL ADvICE
At the end of the product’s life, please dispose of it at an appropriate collection point
provided in your area. Local waste management companies will be able to answer your
questions on this.
