plumbing crossover.

An anti-scald or tempering valve
automatically mixes cold water even
when the faucet handle is turned to
full hot. These devices are usually
adjustable so the cold mix can be
turned off completely. Alternatively,
the temperature of the heater can be
increased if hotter water is needed.

releasing the UP and
