Exiting or Ending a Conference
When a participating site exits a conference, the conference ends if it is a point-to-point
conference or proceeds if it is a multipoint conference. Only the chair site is able to end a
conference.
3.1.7 Conference Management
3.1.7.1 Contacts List
From the TP3106-70 Telepresence System Manager, the administrator can import, export, and
clear the contacts list. The contacts list contains information about sites and groups. The touch
panel automatically syncs the contacts list with the telepresence host. A user can select sites
and groups from the touch panel to quickly initiate a conference, eliminating the manual entry
of site numbers.
3.1.7.2 Conference History
From the touch panel, a user can view all conferences that have been initiated or attended
using the TP3106-70. A user can select any conference entry in the history to initiate the
conference again.
3.1.7.3 Network Recording
If network recording is enabled, multipoint conferences the TP3106-70 joins can be
automatically recorded from the beginning. The recordings can be broadcast live or saved for
future viewing. The chair site can stop, pause, or resume the recording at any time.
3.2 Video Features
The TP3106-70 adopts advanced video technology. Used in every processing stage from
video capture through video encoding and decoding to video display, the technology enables
the TP3106-70 to deliver ultra-HD video with nearly zero latency and unprecedented
smoothness.
Smooth and Sharp Video
The TP3106-70 is compliant with H.264 HP, H.264 BP, and H.264 SVC for transmitting and
receiving video and presentations. It selects the optimal video protocol based on the available
bandwidth and executes transcoding to present the best possible videos to users.
HD Dual Stream
The TP3106-70 is the first telepresence solution to introduce end-to-end 1080p60 technology.
With the support for H.239 and the Binary Floor Control Protocol (BFCP), the TP3106-70 can
transmit two independent channels of 1080p video streams.
Continuous Presence
The TP3106-70 supports a group of continuous presence. When initiating a multipoint
conference, a user can set the continuous presence layout. During a multipoint conference, a
user can edit continuous presence, including the layout and video feeds. Continuous presence
comes in multiple display layouts, with a maximum of 16 panes. The video feeds of the
