Features and Benefits
3.1 IP Videoconferencing
3.1.1 Point-to-Point Conferencing
After registering with H.323 gatekeeper (GK) and SIP servers, the TP3106-70 can call remote
sites using their IP addresses, numbers, or uniform resource identifiers (URIs).
3.1.2 Multipoint Conferencing
The TP3106-70 enables H.323- and SIP-compliant videoconferencing devices to join the
same conference.
By working in conjunction with an MCU, the TP3106-70 can initiate a multipoint conference
by calling geographically distributed H.323 and SIP videoconferencing devices. Participants
in the same conference can view and hear each other; they are able to receive mixed
conference audio as well.
3.1.3 Dual-Stream Conferencing
While viewing site videos, a user can connect a computer to either of the multi-functional
sockets to share with remote sites the computer desktop (including slides, Word documents,
flash files, and HD images and movies).
The TP3106-70 supports plug and share. Once a computer is connected through a
multi-functional socket, the computer desktop is automatically shared with remote sites
without any additional operations.
3.1.4 Authentication Conferencing
If a user does not know how many sites are expected to join a conference, the user can set the
number of anonymous sites and hold an authentication conference from the Service
Management Center (SMC) — Huawei's videoconferencing management system. The
TP3106-70 can then join the authentication conference using the conference ID and password.
