Updating the system using a microSD card will clear all the data in your HUAWEI
MediaPad M1 8.0. Back up important data before updating your HUAWEI MediaPad M1
8.0.

If you use unauthorized software to update your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0, it may fail
to be updated or your personal information may be disclosed. Use the online update
feature or use officially released update package to update your HUAWEI MediaPad M1
8.0 .
Copy the
dload
folder in the update package to the root directory of your microSD card. On
the home screen, touch Settings > Updates > System updates > Local updates . Your
HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 will then detect the update package and start the update.
The update progress and result are shown on the screen.
2.5 Will data be erased if I update my HUAWEI MediaPad
M1 8.0 ?
Updating your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 using a downloaded update package will erase
some personal data, such as your accounts, custom settings, installed applications, contacts,
