Replacing a CPU from the G560



Removing a CPU

1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen one pair of diagonally opposite screws

halfway, and then loosen the other pair of screws. Then lift the heat sink, as

shown in the figure on the left.

2. Release the CPU lever according to steps (1)

–(4) in the figure on the right.

3. Place the removed CPU in an ESD bag.
