Common Troubleshooting

3.1 Abnormal ODF Optical Power

Symptom

The optical power is abnormal.

NOTE

Assume that the PUMP switch and other EDFA configurations are normal, and the end face of the
optical power meter is clean when the preceding fault occurs.

Possible cause

Fiber or port end faces are not clean, or fibers are faulty.
