2. Select Menu > Settings > Data Settings > Packet Call Dial
Number . Enter the number that is provided by the service
provider.
3. Configure the dial software embedded in the Windows
operating system on the PC.
4. Dial the number from the PC. The number must be the same as
that set on the phone. After obtaining the IP address, you can
access the Internet.
Receiving a Fax
1. Set the fax-receiving mode. For details, see "Setting Fax/Data
Rx Mode" on page 36.
2. Run the fax software on the PC. For example, the embedded fax
software of Windows XP.
3. Send photos from the PC to a remote fax machine, either a PC
fax machine or an analog fax machine.
4. The remote fax machine can also send faxes to the PC.
Sending a Fax
When sending a fax, you need not to set your phone. Make sure
that the phone is well connected to the PC by the USB cable. Send
the fax from the PC with the fax software loaded.
Receiving Data
1. Set the data-receiving mode. For details, see "Setting Fax/Data
Rx Mode" on page 36.
2. Run the HyperTerminal software on the PC. For example,
HyperTerminal embedded into Windows XP.
3. Send data from the PC to the HyperTerminal at the other end.
