Enabling/Disabling the Phone Lock
The phone lock code protects your phone from unauthorized use.
The phone lock function is not enabled when you purchase the
phone. You can change the default phone lock code 000000 to any
numeric string of 4–8 digits.
1.
Select
Menu > Settings > Security > Phone Lock
.
2.
Enter the correct phone lock code and press
(
OK
).
3.
Select
On
/
Off
to enable/disable the phone lock code.
Changing the Phone Lock Code
Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it, contact your
local dealer.
1.
Select
Menu > Settings > Security > Phone Lock
.
2.
Enter the correct phone lock code and press
(
OK
).
3.
Select
Change Code
. Then enter the new phone lock code and
press
(
OK
).
4.
Enter the new phone lock code again and press
(
OK
).
Setting the PIN Lock
The personal identity number (PIN) protects your UIM card from
authorized use. If the UIM card is blocked due to wrong PINs
entered, enter the PIN unblocking key (PUK) to unblock the SIM
card and change the PIN code.
The PIN and PUK codes are delivered with the UIM card. If you
are not provided with or forget the PIN or PUK code, contact your
service provider.
Do the following to set the PIN code;
