5. instructions for use (for eXPerienced users)
Please read the operating instructions carefully and follow in particular the
safety instructions. If the safety instructions or the instructions for proper
handling are not followed, we will assume no liability for resulting personal
injury or proper to damage. In addition, the warranty / guarantee will be void.
connecting the BAttery
First connect the red charging terminal (positive) to the positive terminal of the
battery. Then connect the black terminal (minus) to the vehicle chassis or engine
block, but not near the battery, fuel line or carburettor, and not to metal clips or
moving parts. Connect the battery charger to the power supply. The
„Power“
LED is illuminated. Depending on which kind of battery you want to charge, use
the
„Mode“
button to set the corresponding charging mode.
chArging
The device will start the charging process automatically. When the charging pro-
cess is active, the LED

„Laden“
lights up. If the charger detects a deeply
discharged battery (<10.5 V) the LED

“Tiefenentladen“
will light up and the
battery is recharged. When the charging voltage rises above 10.5 V, the LED is
extinguished and the LEDs

and

, depending on the battery status,
are switched on.
finish chArging
If all test criteria have been fulfilled, the battery is found to be in working order
and the battery is fully charged, the LED

„Fertig“
will light up and the charger
will switch to maintenance mode. The battery is now fully charged and ready
for operation and can be disconnected from the charger. Disconnect the device
from the mains before removing the charging clip. Always pull the plug and
never the cable! The following separation sequence must be followed:
disconnect the black clamp (minus) from the vehicle chassis is or the engine
block first. Then disconnect the red (positive) terminal from the positive terminal
of the battery.
Four led batteries, that are not maintenance free, check the acid level. If the
acid level is too low, refill with distilled water. Follow the battery manufacturer‘s
instructions.
