GETTING STARTED
-
Please operate the device using the shoulder strap included in the package; this enables
you to work with both hands which is necessary in order to be safe and have freedom of
action.
-
Press and hold the ON/OFF key for about 2 seconds until you hear the second beep (the
device should turn on and enter the main menu of leak detection function).
-
The battery symbol on the top right of the screen indicates battery life. If there is sufficient
battery life remaining, proceed with the next steps; otherwise, recharge the batteries
using the included charger. (Do not use third-party chargers.)
-
Plug in the device’s sensor (through the respective 6
-pin connector). A sensor connection
symbol on the bottom right of the screen confirms the successful connection.
-
If you wish to use wired headphones, you can plug in the headphone jack into the
specified port. A headphone jack symbol on the bottom right of the screen confirms the
successful connection. (The device’s Bluetooth® function is turned off by default; if you
wish to use Bluetooth® headphones, enter Bluetooth Settings, turn on the Bluetooth®
function, and search for your headset. The device will automatically save the headset you
select as the top priority for subsequent use.)
-
The device’s sensitivity level is display
ed on the screen in the form of a number and a
colored curved bar-graph. Set the sensitivity level in the Green area between 25 and 45
and begin the leak detection process. When needed, you can increase the sensitivity level.
The higher you set the sensitivity level, the higher the sound volume of the headphone
will be.
Note 1
: Do not attempt to detect leaks using extremely high sound volumes as
this may saturate, fatigue, and/or dull your hearing capacity, rendering you
unable to detect leaks.
Note 2
: When operating the device using headphones, you may become partly
or completely unable to hear the traffic or the vehicles’ audible warnings.
Therefore, please ensure all the required safety precautions in relation with
traffic and workplace conditions.
-
The device is now ready for leak detection. Please prevent any physical shocks to the
sensor and do not drag it on the floor. Put the sensor on the floor very carefully and
examine the sound of the area. When finished, lift the sensor off the floor and examine
the next point (which should be at a minimum distance of 70 to 90 centimeters from
the first point).
-
A folder is automatically created every day in the device’s memory and every time the
device is turned on, a new project is created in the said folder in which the information
of the user’s leak detection activities is stored. Please note that a maximum of 20
projects may be executed per day, while the user may store up to 2000 data frames
per project. In total, the device can store up to 1,200,000 data frames. If needed, you
can enter the FILE MANAGEMENT menu and delete or transfer the projects.
-
Put the pick-up sensor on the floor using the hand-switch and press the MUTE key.
You should immediately begin to hear the sound through your headphones. The
received signal strength is displayed in the form of a horizontal bar-graph on the
