From the navigation tree, select

Network

Multicast

IGMP Snooping

Enable IGMP snooping for VLAN 1.

Specify the IGMP snooping version as 2.

Enable dropping unknown multicast data.

Verifying the configuration

Send IGMP reports from Host A and Host B to join the multicast group 224.1.1.1.

Send multicast data from the source to the multicast group.

On the configuration page, click

Entries

to check that the forwarding entry for the multicast

group exists.

Network requirements

As shown in

Figure 35

•

The network is a Layer 2-only network.

•

Host A and Host B are receivers of IPv6 multicast group FF1E::101.

•

All host receivers run MLDv1, and all switches run MLDv1 snooping. Switch A (which is close to
the multicast source) acts as the MLD querier.

To prevent the switches from flooding unknown packets in the VLAN, enable all the switch to drop
unknown IPv6 multicast packets.
