Procedure

1. Fail over the storage controller

On the StoreVirtual menu, select

Storage Systems

On the navigation pane, select the storage system, and then select

Actions

Fail over storage

controller

on the content pane.

Select the storage controller from the list if more than one is listed.

Select the check box next to the storage controller status, and then click

Yes, fail over storage

controller

2. Reboot the storage controller

On the StoreVirtual menu, select

Storage Controllers

On the navigation pane, select the storage controller, and then select

Actions

Power off or reboot

on the content pane.

Click

Reboot

Enter the number of minutes for the system to wait before rebooting, and then click

Review the warning message and then click

Yes, reboot

On the second confirmation message, select the confirmation box, and then click

Yes, reboot

3. Fail back the storage controller

On the StoreVirtual menu, select

Storage Systems

On the navigation pane, select the storage system, and then select

Actions

Fail back storage

controller

on the content pane.

Select the storage controller to fail back, and then click
