Introduction

Fan Modules

The router is equipped with three fans mounted in a single module.

Figure 4: Fan module

If one of the three fans fails, the router will continue to operate on the two
remaining fans until a replacement fan module can be installed.

If the fan is not cooling the router properly, a temperature warning message is
displayed in the Home Page of the Web-based user interface.

Fan module functionality can be verified from both the Serial/Telnet user interface
and the Web-based user interface.

Note:

The Web-based user interface is also called Visual Manager. Visual Manager

is discussed in

Chapter 4

, “Visual Manager User Interface.” The Serial/Telnet user
