To drill down to calculators:
Click on: "ProLiant Servers"
Click on the Server of interest. Example: DL580 G5
Click on: "Power Calculator" link. (You may need to scroll down to see it)
There are certain Dual-Core, lowline, max configurations that are not supported. All highline configurations are supported.
Consult the Power Calculator to determine if your lowline configuration is supported.

NOTES:
The server will halt with a 'power not sufficient" message when it has three or more processors and only two power supplies. This
is a caution to customers who wish to run in this configuration that it is possible to exceed the power output of two supplies
when the system is heavily loaded and connected to low-line AC. See note 3 below.
DC output - in this configuration if one supply fails the DC output power of the two remaining supplies will be sufficient to keep
the server running. If one of the AC input feeds fail (in a two AC power feed per rack environment) this configuration can not
guarantee redundancy if the feed supplying two of the three power supplies fails.
In a fully optioned server with four power supplies and four 130 Watt processors it is possible to exceed the rated output power
of two supplies when powered by low-line AC (110 VAC). In this scenario the system is non-redundant. If one of the two AC
power feeds fail and brings down two power supplies the remaining two supplies may not supply enough power to keep the
system running. Customers who are running low line with configurations approaching fully optioned servers should check their
power redundancy using the Active Answers Power Calculator.
