CAUTION: Battery cautions
Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the
battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.
Do not mix different types of batteries together (for example, alkaline and carbon-
zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
When not using the remote for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent
damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
Do not try to recharge batteries that are not intended to be recharged; they can
overheat and rupture. (Follow the battery manufacturer’s directions for the batteries
you are using.)
Always remove batteries as soon as they become weak. Weak batteries can leak and
severely damage the unit.
Replace batteries yearly or when remote control operation becomes erratic.
Do not take apart the batteries, heat them, or throw them into a fire.
CAUTION: Remote control cautions
Do not expose the remote control to shock, such as from dropping or an electric
charge. In addition, do not expose the remote control to liquids, and do not place it in
an area with high humidity.
Do not install or place the remote control under direct sunlight. The heat may cause
deformation of the unit.
The remote control may not work properly if the remote sensor window of the main
unit is under direct sunlight or strong lighting. In such a case, change the angle of the
lighting or LCD TV set, or operate the remote control closer to the remote sensor
window.
