Installing the Sound Board and CD-ROM Drive
6 Replace the computer’s cover, and reconnect the power cable and
any telecommunications cables.
7 Switch on your PC.
Most PC systems automatically recognize the CD-ROM drive once it is
physically installed and connected. If, after installing the driver
software as described on the following pages, your system still does not
recognize the CD-ROM drive, (for example, there is no CD-ROM icon in
the File Manager), you need to enable the drive in your Setup program.
Restart the PC and press

Setup=F2
appears. For details of
how to enable the CD-ROM drive in your Setup program, refer to your
PC’s user documentation. (In some Setup programs, the

Your sound board supports Plug and Play, which means that most
operating systems are able to configure the board’s software settings—
I/O addresses, IRQ lines, and DMA channels—to avoid any hardware
conflicts.
