2. Position the computer with the rear panel toward you.

Steps 3 through 9 apply only to HP Pavilion dv1400 models. 
See steps 10 through 14 in this section for information on 
removing the switch cover on HP Compaq nx4820 and 
Compaq Presario V2400 models.

3. Remove the three silver PM2.0×5.0 screws that secure the 

switch cover to the computer.
