2. Verify the hub’s operation
Your hub uses power from an ac adapter.
N o t e
If your installation requires a different power cord than the one supplied
with the hub, contact your HP-authorized LAN dealer or your local HP
sales office.
The hub does not have a power switch; it is powered on when the power
cord is plugged in.
To provide power to the hub, follow these steps:
1. Plug the power supply into the receptacle on the hub marked
“Power”.
2. Plug the ac power cord into an ac power source. When installing
the Hub-8U, note that the ac outlet must be installed near the equipment
and should be easily accessible.
