Removing a PCI/PCI-X Card
To remove a PCI card from the server, perform the following steps:
CAUTION
Record the slot location of all PCI cards as they are removed. Depending on the operating
system, replacing the PCI cards in a different location might require system reconfiguration
and could cause boot failure.
Step 1. If rack mounted, slide the HP Server out from the rack until it stops. (Refer to the hp9000 rp4440
Installation Guide for additional information.)
Step 2. Remove the top cover. (Refer to “Front and Top Covers” on page 39.)
