Remove the system board (4) by sliding it up and to the left at an angle.
NOTE:
When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the heat sink from the defective system
board and install it on the replacement system board.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Remove the keyboard/top cover (

3.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
).
4.
Remove the system board (
Remove the heat sink:
1.
Position the system board upside down with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.2 broad head screws (1) that secure the heat sink to the system board.
