Before removing the vent covers, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 27

Remove the bottom cover (see

Bottom cover on page 28

Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 35

Remove the vent covers:

Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (1) that secure each vent cover to the computer.

Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screw (2) that secures each vent cover to the computer.

Pull upward and outward on the ends of the covers near the fans to remove from the computer (3).

To install the vent covers:

Insert the bottoms of the covers onto the computer (1), and then rotate the covers up and over into
place (2).
